Grant Writing Intern

The Techsgiving team is looking for interns to who can work remote, to help with facilitating fundraising for initiatives scheduled for 2024 calendar year. An intern for Techsgiving is expected to work in collaboration with the grant writer to ensure optimal production of various task that align with organizational goals for the 2023 calendar year. Ultimately, you should be able to increase our organization’s effectiveness and efficiency through producing: high quality work and contributing innovative ideas! 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Techsgiving Grant Writing Intern will play a vital role in supporting Techsgiving's fundraising efforts by submitting grant writing proposals and applications. This internship provides valuable experience in the field of grant writing, allowing the you to develop essential skills and contribute to securing funding for Techsgiving's initiatives. As the Grant Writing Intern, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the grant writing process and collaborating with the team to help fund Techsgiving initiatives.

OPPORTUNITIES

General Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with Techsgiving's mission and programs.
  • Keep abreast of grant funding trends, application requirements, and deadlines to maximize Techsgiving's chances of success.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to determine priorities and focus areas for grant applications.
  • Assist in developing compelling grant proposals and applications, highlighting Techsgiving's programs, impact, and alignment with the grantor's objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to grant application guidelines, formatting requirements, and submission deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications within specified timelines, ensuring all necessary supporting documents and materials are included.
  • Maintain a record of grant applications submitted, tracking their status, and following up on any additional information or reporting requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking grant reporting deadlines and requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of progress reports and financial documentation.
  • Collaborate with program managers and finance staff to collect necessary data for grant reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Maintain organized records of grant documents, communications, and reporting to facilitate efficient record-keeping and future reference.
  • Collaborate with the operations team and other stakeholders to gather information and insights necessary for grant applications.
  • Communicate effectively with external funders, responding to inquiries, and providing additional information as needed.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to grant writing and fundraising activities.
